The International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC) is structured through several key committees, each playing a vital role in advancing surgical education and practice globally.

 

Executive Committee

Comprising the President, President-Elect, Secretary-General, and Treasurer, the Executive Committee addresses urgent matters and holds authority between Council meetings. For inquiries, contact the Administrative Office at surgery@iss-sic.com.

 

Council

The Council includes the Executive Committee members, four Councillors-at-large, and representatives from each Integrated Society. They convene to discuss and implement strategies for the society's growth and influence.

 

Subcommittees

  • Nominating Committee: Prepares and presents nominations for officers and Councillors-at-large to the General Assembly.

  • Program Committee: Oversees the planning and organization of the scientific program for the Congress, including selecting papers and speakers.

  • Scientific Subcommittee: Focuses on advancing surgical research and education.

  • Global Affairs Subcommittee: Addresses international surgical issues and collaborations.
